ebay auction software

I heard that there are some ebay auction softwares out there that can help game auctions.

I also would like to learn more about optimizing my searches on ebay.

What are good resources for this?

There's no substitute for manual, intelligent searches, and manual sniping. I do both.

The trick with the former is to search on all keywords...including spelling errors. Write down a list before hand, then search on all of them. For example, looking for Johnson-Matthey products would need searches on "JM," "J-M," "Johnson-Matthey," "Johnson-Mathey," "Matthey," and "Mathey."

I snag the best deals on spelling errors. Most people won't take the time to look.

Sniping is an art, so software won't "do it" in many cases.

I'd disagree....Bidnapper is great.....I gotten numerous items in the last 10 seconds with it.....I mean I sit there and watch as the clock ticks down, hitting refresh on my screen and "BOOM".....it will screech in there sometimes in the last two seconds. I've never failed to get something as long as an earlier bid didn't exceed the max I set in Bidnapper and I simply didn't go back and change my max.....which I just don't do.....I figure what my max is for an item from the get-go, and that takes "auction fever" out of equation.

My wife has an MP3 player that she loves and has been discontinued......she literally wears them out.....so I bought her a couple on ebay last week using BN......she was watching the screen and kept saying "We're not gonna get it...we're not gonna get it"....and I'd just smile and say "Keep watching....ahahahaa".....last 10 seconds, got 'em !

I have to admit, Bidnapper is pretty slick. I paid for my one year subscription in the first week.

And you can search by spelling errors with it too.

spelling errors good idea

sniping is an obvious strategy, I am no genius but it suggested itself to me during my first bidding attempt

:cool2: There are two types of bid sniping software...

Server based and stand alone...

For people with fast DSL or Cable the stand alone software versions are the way to go...
I've used both and I can't tell any difference except I can control my bids in real time and set my own margin of error down to two seconds.

Both methods work well....except...if a server based bid snipe service goes down you are out of luck...they guarantee nothing.
Had that happen twice...so I went the stand alone route..

Bayside Sniper and HarvEx (Turbo Sniper SE) are stand alone programs.

I use HarvEX...flawless so far...it comes in 3 flavors...and the cost is cheap for what you get...probably more power than the average buyer will ever need. The trial version is good for 2 weeks.

Bayside Sniper is shareware...not hard to find...
